May Flowers

Nanking cherry blossoms
It’s amazing what two weeks of spring will bring! Things are growing like crazy now. Just this morning, Mom came in from the garden and announced that her beans were up. Oh, I can’t wait to be eating fresh fruits and vegetables from our own garden!

Tiny buds of lily-of-the-valley. Another few days should see these opened and releasing their delicate fragrance.

Purple violets, “volunteers” which appeared in my flower bed from who-knows-where.

Sedum has such interesting lines and colors in part shadow, part light.

Apple blossoms bode well for the fruit crop this fall… and for our honey harvest!

Some kind of brush or other in full bloom; my knowledge of native plants is — “limited”, perhaps, is the right word. I hesitate to go quite so far as “non-existent”.

Translucent popple leaves in the evening light seem to glow golden-green.

Mom sits on the porch, resting from her gardening endeavors and enjoying the warm sunlight filtering through the trees.

Lovely photos — especially the popple leaves and cherry blossom. Beautiful!
Our beans are coming up too, along with radishes and we have those same violets all over our yard! The other night…right after we had planted MOST of our HUGE 35ftx90ft garden..our weather guy said that one dreaded word…FROST!!!!! And we’ve got 20 tomato plants and green pepper and all that stuff we had to go cover and all the flowers we had planted!
Anyways..LOVE the photo’s Janna! Spring time is a wonderful time of year!
Again, just beautiful, I just the the apple blossom pictures! Thanks for sharing the info on your camera!
Janna, your pictures are most enjoyable. Since I am so far on the southern coast of our country, all of the fruit tree blossoms have come and gone. Sedums are one of my favorites..it always comes back in pots or in the flower garden and is beautiful even before it blooms. You have such a good eye for nature. Enjoy checking your photos and thoughts.

Beautiful photos! Like Ms. Dale, our fruit tree blossoms are gone (and it’s beastly hot), so just looking at your pictures is refreshing. I love the perspective and the lighting. Isn’t Spring wondrous?!
Yours in Christ,
Shannon
Ahhh, spring is here! We waited so long for it…I think we appreciate it more than most!
Nice job capturing it Janna!
