Berge Family Reunion

This last weekend, the Robert Berge family (Robert was my great-grandfather) got together for three days of visiting, playing, and, of course, eating together. The reunion is held every two years, and is a wonderful opportunity to catch up with extended family members you haven’t met since — well, two years ago! Lucky for our family, the reunion is held at beautiful Bethany Bible Camp, located just half a mile down the road on the shores of Grace Lake. I’d like to share a few photos from the weekend — but I’d better make note that Erica captured most of the shots. There were too many activities for me to concentrate on the camera. Very undisciplined of me.

These family reunions are multi-purpose gatherings. At this one, some of the ladies planned a double shower — for my cousin Melanie, the bride-to-be, and my sister Audra, the mommy-to-be!

I love all of your pictures. I was wondering if you could email me the big family one. You are the only one that got the full family (with Bud). It was so nice seeing you. Hopefully it won’t take another 8 years for me to make it to another reunion!
Hi, Becky! I’d be happy to e-mail you the family photograph. But first, I’d better do some touch-ups on it. We accidentally left the white-balance set to “incandescent light”, so the whole picture is rather blueish-colored. Oops.
It was great seeing you at the reunion! Yes, hopefully the space of time between meetings will shrink a bit… 
How nice to have such a large family gathering. We emigrated from Africa when I was 6, so didnt have any extended family here. I miss that.

It was so great to finally meet you! I have enjoyed looking at your beautiful blog for the past few months, and it is nice to put a real face to the pictures and words.
