Upper Falls; Tettegouche State Park

The name of this beautiful flowering shrub remains a mystery to me…

Sun shining on the ferns and Breanna’s hair… Don’t you love natural light?

Water swirls by a dark cave, hollowed out of the rocky banks.

Follow the leader?

Searching for agates that may have been washed up on the beach. Even I (a notoriously bad “finder”) was able to spot a few!

Not all the waters are rough-and-tumble. Here, a quiet creek cuts through the woods, on its way down to the lake.

Lovely, lovely, lovely! Every one of these photos makes my heart ache — I love the backlit one, the waterfall, the flowers and the beachcombing. You have a great eye for shots.
Beautiful pictures. The waterfall is my favorite. Just like
a real visit there. The blooming shrub looks like a rhododendron
that grows in the wild. It is also grown in landscapes in cooler climates
and especially beautiful in the Tennessee Mountains. If not, it must
be a cousin to it. The are beautiful growing in the Great Smokies.
Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing these — down here in Florida, we don’t get much in the way of scenery
I’m so glad you enjoyed your trip!
Yours in Christ,
Shannon
I think this post has some of my favorite pictures. Breanna’s shirt is just the right color in that fern picture! Say, look at the last picture, then run over to artrenewal and check out Peder Monsted’s paintings, especially “Stream in the Woods”.
Again, just BEAUTIFUL!! The one of Breanna especially! I wish I could take such gorgeous pictures!
