An Autumn Week in Feminine Dress: Tuesday
Tuesday, Oct 21st, 2008 by Janna

Mom and I spent the day in town, running errands and paying our obligatory visits to the local thrift stores. I found another black skirt to add to my growing collection; a new blue shirt (This one had gathers on it! I didn’t have one with gathers on it!); and a few free books, some of which I hope to trade on PaperBack Swap.
When we got home, half-starved and weary with our labors (Hey, there’s a lot of walking involved in a trip to town!), the dinner table was set, and Erica served up a delicious meal of chicken enchiladas slathered in melted cheese, with sour cream and salsa and corn on the side. Oh, that steaming-hot meal sure hit the spot after the chilly car-ride home!
P.s. Erica is the one taking these photos. And I don’t even have to beg. She’s willing! Such dedication to the Art.

That’s a good picture (dedication indeed!)–and to think I had the honor of running into such a lovely blogger in person this afternoon.
What a gorgeous picture! So perfect for the Autumn WIFD. You look lovely!
great autumn shot and sounds like you had a lovely day — I also love browsing the thrift stores.
*Gasp* You are a member of Paperback Swap too?? If you tell me what your name is on the site, I’ll add you to my buddies list. *grin*

I just love your photos! What kind of camera do you have and do you photoshop them?
You all are too kind! You give me the warm-fuzzies.
Hannah,
I just began trading on PBS last week, and already I’ve received three books, with one more on its way! I don’t have a “nickname”, but I believe you could use my e-mail address to add me as a buddy–it’s joyofhome[at]gmail.com.
Helena,
We use Corel Paint Shop Pro XI (”Poor Man’s Photoshop”) to edit our photos. Someday, I’d like to own a copy of Photoshop, but I’d have to justify the $600 purchase by actually making money off of my photos.
We own a Nikon D80 DSLR, and two lenses–a 18-135mm zoom and a 50mm prime. Erica and I are dreaming of buying a macro to add to our collection. And wouldn’t a telephoto prime be nice…? Oh, boy. You see how it goes!
I do like your skirt!
I haven’t been visited blog your blog for a little while; I thought I would also say that I like your new profile photo!
Blessings,
Anna
Oh, what a lovely photo! You look so cute…
