An Autumn Week in Feminine Dress: Wednesday
Wednesday, Oct 22nd, 2008 by Janna

Today was grey and cold and rainy. A housework-and-reading sort of day. So I alternated between washing dishes and curling up in bed to enjoy my new copy of The Maiden’s Bequest. I admit, Maiden’s Bequest claimed more of my time than the dish-washing did… But I’ll make up for it by refusing to read a chapter more before I’ve tidied the coatroom and got my bedroom into a semi-presentable state. So, I’m off to conquer the hordes of shoes left in a jumble on the entryway rug, and the piles of clean clothes I find it so hard to place inside their proper drawers. Until tomorrow then.

I had that same sweater. My brother in law gave it to me as a gift. I accidentally washed and dryed it….it shrank…. I ended up selling it at a yard sale. I was so upset! I thought it was the cutest sweater!
Thanks for the link!
Oh, how tragic, Brandy! I tried to remember to wear an apron while involved in the “housework” portions of my day. Even so, I somehow managed to spill a bit of honey on the sleeve.
But I’m not about to bring a sweater I bought second-hand for a buck or two to the dry-cleaners, who will surely charge me at least ten dollars for their services!
You see what happens when you don’t wear an apron.
I know of a really cute, just-published 1940s style apron pattern. *modest cough* Anyway, that looks like just the perfect housework-and-reading outfit. Can’t beat reading on a rainy day…or most other kinds of days, for that matter!
