I have never seen “Anne of Avonlea”. I saw “Anne of Green Gables the Sequel” a month or so ago and really enjoyed it. My family used to own “Anne of Green Gables” but I don’t really remember it. Since I did recently watch one of the movies I want to see the others ones too. Also I’ve been a lurker for about a year now. I really enjoy reading you blog; and congratulations on becoming an aunty. I became an aunty last November. It’s great! Nieces are wonderful things!

I just watched this movie again this month. I love the part where Anne talks with her window friend “Katie,” because Daniel has recently discovered his own window friend (who he has named Toby). He frequently gets upset when they talk though, so I tell him not to play with “Toby” if he’s not being nice.
I haven’t watched the Anne movies in a long time. But I’m beginning to feel the urge… Maybe some cold winter’s evening, we’ll pop big bowlfuls of popcorn and stay up till midnight for an Anne-of-Green-Gables marathon.
The “Anne” movies have to be my all time favorites. I remember when they first came out as a mini-series and being absolutely tortured waiting for each installment! Thankfully, my girls won’t have to go through that pain.
